We all love the pocket friendly places scattered around at places like Hudson Lane, GTB Nagar, Satya Niketan, etc. They're reasonably priced and their decor just steals our heart away. But that luxury was far off for the people of West Delhi, and we had to rely on places that were either too compact or too expensive for us. Well, be not so sad anymore people of West Delhi, because Janakpuri has at last received its ultimate go-to place for the youth!

Cafe Me is one of the most recent additions to the multitude of restaurants in Janakpuri, and the place’s ambience is similar to a lot of places in other suchlike student-friendly cafes; but not just that, the place is also appropriately sophisticated to suit the needs of a family outing as well. So we recently decided to give this place a visit and needless to say, we fell in love with it! Read on.

To begin with the interiors, the place is creative and trendy. The ambience is very much young and vibrant; the soft interiors and the mirrors on the wall, along with the posters and a red neon sign, all give the place a thematic experience unlike any other place in the area. The place welcomed us with contemporary songs, and as for the size of the place, to our surprise, the place had more than ample seating; and with the pillows and the couches, the places felt like home in a jiffy.

The staff was also at par with the place’s hitherto brilliant impression. They were courteous, affable and eager to serve on us. All our dishes were served to us well within time and piping hot. What’s more is that they know their food well, and can easily resolve your queries for you. So here’s the list of items that made our experience even more memorable.

Sunny Side Up - Fried

Looks like we forgot to mention; it was breakfast time as the place has gained quite a lot of popularity for its breakfast items and ambiance! So we decided to go for the eggs first, and they were a delight. It was the perfect dish-ful of sunny side up; consisting of two fried eggs, they were cooked to perfection and had the perfect round shape. The eggs were complemented with fried, juicy mushrooms, two aloo tikkis, two slices of bread and a tomato with a layer of egg on top. So many details and so much of flavour; the dish was perfect for breakfast!

Pancakes

Pancakes are one of the best dishes you can have for breakfast and we couldn’t resist ourselves from indulging in a plate of 'em. The dish consisted of three pancakes, walnuts and pistachios, Nutella (yay!), maple syrup, peanut butter, and fruit (kiwis, apples, pears). Sounds mouth watering, doesn’t it? The taste was just amazing; they were not too salty or sweet; the quantity was ample and the flavour was just the right balance of sweet and saltiness.

Masala Tea

Breakfast and tea goes hand in hand, and Cafe Me proved this theory right. The tea had a mesmerising aroma, a strong caffeinated taste with just the right balance of masala, and was not too milky to suppress the taste of the tea. Anyone who has a penchant for tea should go for this here at Cafe Me!

Watermelon Mojito

After being thoroughly refreshed by our tea, how were we supposed to refrain ourselves from indulging a refreshing beverage of Watermelon Mojito? And so we got ourselves this delicious mojito and believe you us, it was one of the best mojitos we've ever had! The beverage was served at just the right temperature; the taste of watermelon blended well with that of the mint; and to top it all, there were a few watermelon chunks delighting us every few sips!

Pizzaiolo Bruschetta

The only starters we had on our visit, they gave us the glimpse of how scrumptious Cafe Me’s other dishes would be. The bruschettas were cooked to perfection; the garlic bread was crisp, the vegetables were juicy and the combination of these veggies with olive oil, pepper and artichokes made the dish even more delicious. It was surely a nice addition to our breakfast experience and if all the other starters are as good as their bruschettas, then the place has a lot more to offer than we had experienced till now!

So there you go, people. A bona fide review of our experience at Cafe Me. We had no qualms during or after our visit; everything suited our needs and the place is surely a promising joint in Janakpuri. We suggest that everyone should visit the place at least once and we assure you, not a lot of you would be able to refuse going there for another visit!
