Don’t Step Out, Order At Home | On Wednesday, Flipkart had announced that it’s closing all its services in the light of the lockdown, but now its CEO, Kalyan Krishnamurthy has informed the public that they will resume the grocery delivery services. The decision to shut down these e-commerce giants came after several reports claiming that delivery executives were harassed, even after these services were termed as “essential”.
After similar cases were reported, the law enforcement authorities ensured the safety of the delivery executives. ID cards will be issued to the delivery persons by Flipkart, BigBasket and Grofers that’ll enable them to pass through the lockdown to deliver the essential items. Overnight deliveries will be carried out to clear the orders that were not delivered in the past 4-5 days.
BigBasket will be providing services in Noida but due to the high demand, these services might not be swift in the next 4-5 days. Also, Grofers will start their services in Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad and Noida soon.
