Find The Essence Of Mumbai Here At The Super Famous Arjun Bombay Pav Bhaji In Model Town

Bookmark

Delhi is known for its delicious street food! At every corner, you'll come across small thelas and stalls selling chatpati signature items everyday. From chole bhature to gol gappas, Delhi's street scene has won our hearts over and over again. But there are a few adaptations we have to thank Mumbaikars for! Their street food specialties have been sold in the streets of Delhi for as long as we can remember. But hey, no complaints there because we absolutely love them!

Strolling in the lanes of Model Town, we came across a small hidden shop that has been selling two of the most popular Mumbaikar dishes! Arjun Bombay Pav Bhaji primarily offers you a variety of Pav Bhaji, Vada Pav and Pulao and we decided to tuck in.

Bombay Masala Pav Bhaji

The quantity served to us here at the Arjun Bombay Pav bhaji stall did seem a little less for the amount of money that was being charged but it looked mouthwatering nonetheless.

Served with chopped salad and a dollop of butter on the top, the dish was very flavoursome. The Pav was drenched in salty butter and cooked to the right crispiness on both the sides. The bhaji, on the other hand, was a silent bubble of flavours that burst inside our mouths as soon we tasted it. Needless to say, the dish was no short of spices and that too, just the perfect amount. The bhaji was enough for the two pieces of pav but the amount of food served might not be sufficient for two people (or one foodie).

Price | Rs 110

Vada Pav

Vada Pav is claimed to be a part of the culture of Marathis! Here at the stall, we didn’t know what to expect since there have been various adaptations of this dish. It was served with a decent of amount of hari chutney and chopped salad on the side, the vada resting inside the pav pieces was cooked to perfection with the filling tasting as delicious on its own as it did with the overall serving.

The pav was soaked in butter and if anything, it made the pav more delicious. The generous amount of chutney and the green chili that traditionally accompanies the dish were great sides to the main food items. The quantity might be a little less for two people but the amount is was being sold for seemed fair enough.

Price | Rs 40

The stall offers standing area but there are no chairs. It has a decent amount of crowd on busy days which is why it will be easy for you to find a place for yourself. The open shop is a perfect place for hanging out with your friends on a day when the weather is pleasant. Or maybe just do it for the sake of food, we won’t judge. So do stop by at the small stall to treat yourself to amazing flavours.

Bole toh the street food here is a must try!
