Delhi NCR is always developing, and one latest development that we heard is that 8 lanes will be built on a single pillar on the Basai-Delhi stretch on Dwarka’s expressway. Keep scrollin’ for all the deets about this.

A Step Towards Modernisation | The construction of an elevated highway for the Dwarka Expressway project has already begun. On the dividing road of sector 109 and 110, it has 4 lanes of 400 and 275 metres and has been completed at 2 separate locations, between the Basai Railway overbridge and Delhi-Gurugram border. From pillar 74, the 8-laning of the main carriageway towards the Delhi side has been done and by month-end, another will be done. This first-of-a-kind project is effective in terms of both finance and resources.

With this project, there’s also scope for future expansion, since more lanes can easily be added as it is only built on 1 pillar. This 8.5 km stretch will have service roads and will be signal free, with latest technologies like Intelligent Transportation System and CCTV cameras. Underpasses will also be created at key junctions like Basai, Bajghera and Delhi-Gurugram border to avoid traffic. This mammoth project is said to be completed by March 2021 and we can’t wait to check this one out.

So, what do you guys think about this development?
