Delhi and other cities have been struggling with the supply of medical oxygen as the cases continue to mount throughout the country. But we just heard that 2 new oxygen plants have been set up in the city that may just bring in a much-needed respite from this struggle.

2 New Oxygen Plants Set Up | The Defence Research And Development Organisation (DRDO) has set up two oxygen plants at AIIMS and Ram Manohar Lohia hospitals. This has been done under a plan that seeks to install 5 such plants in Delhi and Haryana, and these plants will start supplying oxygen to the facilities by Wednesday evening. And around 500 such plants, supported by the PM Cares Fund, will be set up across the country.

Did you know that each of these plants has a flow rate of 1,000 litres per minute and can help out 190 patients at a time? Yep, this news comes as a much-needed respite after the constant struggle for medical oxygen continues to plague citizens.

We hope that this move helps the people struggling during the COVID-19 crisis. Also, don’t forget to get yourself vaccinated once the slot opens up!
