With everything around us going contactless due to the ongoing pandemic, we just got wind about a new parking facility in Delhi, that has earned the title of first in the country. We’re talking about the FASTag or UPI-based parking facility that was launched by the DMRC. Here’s everything you need to know about this development.

Contactless Payment At Kashmere Gate Parking? | Recently the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation inaugurated a FASTag or UPI-based cashless parking facility at Kashmere Gate Metro Station. This multi-model integration facility can accommodate 55 four-wheeler vehicles and 174 two-wheelers. However, only those vehicles that have a valid FASTag sticker will be allowed in the parking facility, and one can make the payments at the entry or exit through the system.

The aim of this development is to bring down the waiting time at the gate for cash payments and reduce the queue at the entry/exit points. Plus the parking facility also has dedicated lines for public transport vehicles such as autos taxis and e rickshaws which is great!

So, what do you think about this development?
