Delhi has been slowly inching towards a more sustainable lifestyle and how. And in keeping with that, we just heard about this recent development in our city that will prolly make you a proud Delhizen!

1st Electric Charging Station In The City | Delhi’s Power Minister, Satyendar Jain recently inaugurated Delhi’s first electric vehicle smart-charging station at South Ex II and this, basically, is awesome news to us! And the best part is that BSES plans to open 50 such charging stations by the next year. Set up in partnership with Gensol Charge Private Limited, BSES Rajdhani Power Limited (BRPL) and Techperspect, the chargers at this station are of 15-kilowatt power boasting of the capacity to charge a vehicle in an hour - nice.

Vehicle owners will have to install the ElectreeFi Mobile App which will not just show them the location of such stations but will also let them book their charging time and make an online payment, which is defo convenient! Services such as RFID, SMS & mobile apps will help in seamless charging initiation & session authentication and an alert will also be sent to the owner if the cable is not properly connected.

This is an applaudable move as it will save over 8 tonnes of CO2 annually (approx.) and it’s high time we did something to save the environment, right?
