Delhi's Gonna Get India's First 135-Kms Long Green Road - We've Got The Deets
Delhi being one of the most polluted cities in the world, deserves some greenery. Hence Rs 5,763 crores are being invested in a project to give Delhi India’s first ever 135-kms long green road!
An Eastern Peripheral Expressway project has been picked up by Narendra Modi to decongest Delhi in 400 days and provide the city with a green road. The project commenced in May and will consume a million tonnes of fly ash from NTPC’s various thermal plants to minimise pollution and utilise waste.
Upon completion, the greenfield project will divert around 2 lakh vehicles passing through the national capital to this bypass, hence curtailing pollution.
This road is set to be built by August 2017 and will definitely be a proud moment for the capital city!
