We come bearing some awesome news for all the frequent flyers out there! DMRC has come up with a cool new initiative that’ll make getting to IGI Airport’s T1 with your hefty suitcases easy peasy - here’s how!
Delhi’s First Subway With Travelators | DMRC has always been on a mission to make commuting smooth for us and this time is no different! Currently, while travelling via the Magenta Line towards IGI’s Terminal 1, people have to cross a rough road between the terminal and Gate No. 3 of the airport. From July onwards, however, it’ll be a lot more convenient to get to T1 via this 370-metre subway that’ll be connecting the Magenta Line Metro Gate to the arrival and departure points at the airport.
The subway will boast of large elevators that can carry around 26 people in one go and will also help in reducing the discomfort of carrying luggage in the heat, not to mention being the city’s first subway to have travelators.
Way to go DMRC and keep up the good work!
