Delhi's Auto Rickshaws Now Come Painted With The Purana Qila, Ghalib's Shayari & More!
Delhi’s auto rickshaws are getting a super funky makeover guys and we can’t even explain how artsy and cool they’re looking right now! OMG!
Honestly, the makeover is so beautiful that you’d want to hop onto the nearest three-wheeler right away even if it’s just for a joy ride! Mirza Ghalib’s love for Delhi has inspired an artist to write the legendary poet’s name on the inside of an auto’s hood. Titled Bazeecha-e-atfal (playground for kids), the artwork on this auto’s upholstery is a floral landscape formed by drops of blood, ink and tears, depicting Ghalib’s journey as a poet. Woah!
Sanchit Sawaria, the mastermind behind this amazing concept, is working as a part of a project called Taxi Fabric with fellow artist Jyotirmayee Patra. Patra found her inspiration to give makeovers to auto rickshaws from the popular crafts bazaar Dilli Haat! NICE!
Since these autos will be plying in Delhi, the artists chose none other than Dilli Haat as inspiration for the decor! The next time when you yell to stop an auto, must get in and check out the artwork painted inside!
