Delhi's Artists' Ghetto Called Kathputli Colony Is Finally Being Redeveloped!
Delhi’s Kathputli Colony is being demolished by Delhi Development Authority simply so that the redevelopment of the same can start! DDA’s evicted the entire colony and have started the work.
Development work at the country's largest artists' ghetto, the Kathputli Colony, have began in full swing and should be done within 2 years as per DDA’s hopes. The residents of the colony have been shifted to transit camps till the time the development takes place.
The residents of the colony include puppeteers, magicians, acrobats, storytellers, folk singers, dancers, and painters, among others - you can read all about it here.
