Delhizens, According To Reports We'll Finally Be Able To Breathe Cleaner Air This Week!
Delhi pollution has been at its worst since Diwali, with the AQI levels over 500 and an alarming increase in respiratory illnesses. The Delhi Government has been trying to do its part by taking a number of anti-pollution measures since then, and we finally have some good news for ya! The air quality in the Capital is expected to improve this week, and here’s everything we know about this!
Like A Breath Of Fresh Air | Delhiites, we’re in for comparatively cleaner air this week and we couldn’t be happier! According to reports, with an increase in the wind speeds from Saturday, the air quality has improved drastically over the weekend. On Saturday, the AQI was in the “very poor” range, whereas on Sunday, the same improved and managed to fall in the “poor” category. On Sunday, the wind was around 20kmph, and it was enough to disseminate the pollutants.
The PM 2.5 levels have said to have been gone down considerably in the city. Another reason for cleaner air in the city is the conclusion of the harvest season, so the effect of stubble and crop burning on the Capital’s air will go down slowly.
We’re looking forward to blue skies, pretty sunsets, fresh air and chalking out outdoors plans all over again!
