Dear Delhiites, we’ve just heard some surprising news. For the first time in the almost 225-year history of Ramlilas in Delhi, the Dussehra celebrations will be observed virtually! Here’s all you need to know!
A First In The History Of The Capital | On the occasion of Dussehra, the capital will celebrate the burning of the Mythological Lord Ravana’s effigy and the triumph over evil, virtually for the first time in almost 225 years of history. This virtual celebration will also have unique digital or electronic fireworks, in light of the current pandemic that is still raging in the country.
The burning effigies and fireworks can be viewed by the residents of the capital from the comforts of their homes through their TV screens! It is stated that a recorded soundscape will be used for this purpose instead of actual firecrackers. Isn’t that interesting?
