Did you know that as per the United Nation’s prediction, Delhi is set to become the world’s largest city by 2028? Yep, no kidding! Read on for all them deets.

Largest In The WORLD, Y’All! | Currently, Tokyo is said to be the largest city of the world. But according to the Director of Population Division of the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), then our city will soon overtake Tokyo to be declared the largest city of all.

According to the UN’s projections, Delhi’s population will reach 39 million from the current 29 million by 2030. Also, it has been predicted that India’s population will reach 1.438 billion in 2027, surpassing China’s record of 1.436 billion.

Mumbai will hold the sixth rank in the list of the most populated cities in the world with a population projected to be somewhere around 25 million by 2030. Similarly, Kolkata will be at the 16th place and Bangalore at the 21st place.

Now this really calls for a systematic urbanisation plan and sustainable utilization of resources, if we plan to give our ever-increasing population a good quality of living!
