A South Delhi restaurant, The Aquila was recently in the news a lot and had received criticism from the public for denying entry to a woman who was dressed in a saree. The Aquila restaurant situated in Ansal Plaza has now been issued a closure notice due to license issues. Read on! 

South Delhi restaurant Shuts Down! | Aquila in Ansal Plaza came under public scrutiny recently because of a video clip that showed a woman clad in a saree being turned away which went viral on social media. Recently we heard that the DMC issued a notice and asked them to shut down because of license issues. 

The restaurant was functioning without proper license and approval from the civic body and was thus asked to shut. The viral video came under the purview of an investigation by the area public health inspector who found the facility running under unhygienic conditions. The restaurant was also flagged for alleged encroachment on public land by the DMC!
