As the city is fighting with the surge in the number of cases under the fourth wave of the COVID-19, senior citizens have been most affected by this. And so, to ensure they reach hospitals on time, this is what the Delhi Police has started!

For A Humble Cause | On Sunday, the 9th of May, Delhi Police started a vehicle helpline called ‘COVI Van’ for senior residents in the city. Under this initiative, the beat officer will take the senior citizens to hospitals, vaccinations, any due appointments or even nearby marketplaces. And this facility has already been launched at the GK Police Station.

The 24*7 helpline can be reached at +91 11 2624 1076 and the COVI Van is an SUV which is donated by the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers for this purpose. Plus, all the necessary protocols related to the COVID-19 are being followed, such as regular sanitisation and wearing of gloves & masks.
