Delhi Occupies The 2nd Spot In Digital Payments In 2019 Proving Yet Again That It's The Best

As the online gateway, Razorpay said, online payments in Delhi NCR has grown by 235% from 2018 to 2019, making Delhi, the third most digitised state, contributing 13.05% in 2019. What is more, UPI transactions have grown whoppingly, 442% between 2018 and 2019. The report further stated that in 2019, Karnataka saw the highest adoption of online payments, 26.64%, followed by Maharastra (15.92%) and then, of course, comes saadi Dilli, with an increase of 13.01%.

Delhi Goes Cashless | Digital transactions in Delhi NCR grew by 235% from 2018  to 2019, and Financial Services, Food & Beverage and Transportation were the top 3 sectors which contributed a cumulative of 41% of Delhi’s online payments in 2019, said a Razorpay report. The contribution of the Financial Services sector has grown more than double in 2019 from 2018 - from 5% to a high of 12%. Similarly Food & Beverages and Transportation sectors also saw significant growth, 15% and 14% respectively. 

The report, therefore, concludes that Delhi is one region which has been actively involved in working towards solving for financial inclusion for businesses. Further, the report says that India saw an overall improvement in online transactions, they grew by 338% from 2018 to 2019.
