Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata & Chennai Will Soon Be Connected By Super High-Speed Trains

Bookmark

Listen up Delhiites, Indian Railways is all set to make your travels SO much easier and faster! They’re going to interconnect the four major metros of the country, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai by super fast trains! NICE!!

These will be interconnected with each other by a network of high-speed trains that run at 160 kmph, as against the current 88-90 kmph. The authorities are looking at commencing the operations by August 2018, near India’s 75th Independence Day!

Here’s What’s Happenin’ | The blueprints for Delhi-Mumbai, Delhi-Howrah, Delhi-Chennai, Chennai-Howrah, Chennai-Mumbai and Howrah-Mumbai have been created already, and the rest will also be worked on soon. With the introduction of these high-speed trains, travel time will obviously go down to quite an extent, thus making travelling by train a lot more feasible and useful instead of taking flights all the time.

Sounds good to us, we can’t wait for this *fingers crossed*!
