What’s Happening? | So our dear national capital has been granted hosting rights for the Combined ISSF (International Shooting Sports Federation) World Cup, guys! For those of you who don’t know what this is, well, it’s a sports tournament comprising shooting sports using weapons like rifles, shotguns and pistols.
And Delhi is gonna play host to this tournament a couple of days before the Tokyo Olympics in 2020! This is a pretty cool thing for our country as this hints at India’s growing importance in the field of shooting sports across the globe. So proud!
And this is gonna be the seventh global multi-nation shooting event to take place in India since 2012! Woah, cool! The decision to give hosting rights to Delhi was taken at the ISSF’s Executive Committee meeting in Vienna. Dr. Karni Singh Shooting Range in Delhi will host next year’s first
ISSF World Cup stage for pistol and rifle games in February. Are you peeps as excited as we are? Woohoo!
