DelhiDelhi Innovation Challenge Offers ₹50 Lakh For Innovative Solutions To Reduce Air Pollution
Delhi is gearing up to transform its air quality in ways never seen before. A bold initiative promises to bring innovators, researchers, and institutions together for a high-stakes mission. Exciting rewards and opportunities await for those who are ready to tackle one of the city’s most pressing challenges.

Breathe Easy & Win Big | On October 10, Delhi Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa launched the “Innovation Challenge for Pollution Reduction Solutions,” led by the Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC). The goal is to find low-cost, easy-to-use solutions that can reduce harmful particles from vehicles and the environment. Individuals, startups registered with DPIIT, universities, and research institutions can apply by October 31. The process has three stages: first, DPCC will check all applications. Secondly, there will be a technical review and field trials, and finally, projects will be tested by national labs like the National Physical Laboratory. Proposals that make it past the second stage will get ₹5 lakh, while the best projects validated at the final stage can win up to ₹50 lakh. Minister Sirsa said the focus will be on solutions that really work, are affordable, easy to install, and reliable to monitor. Ideas could include things like road coatings that trap dust, tailpipe devices, rooftop airflow tunnels, better construction dust control, and industrial pollution solutions.
This is your chance to contribute to the environment and win big!
