Delhi Govt. May Home Deliver 40 Services, Like Marriage Certificate, Driving Licence From July End

Delhizens, have you heard the latest news? Hear this, from July, we will be able to get government services like transfer of ownership of vehicles, certificates of marriage, income, caste, driving license and more delivered to us right at our doorstep! Read up to know all the deets. 

Here Are The Deets | The Delhi government has decided that it plans to kick start its ‘doorstep delivery of key services’ project from July end. That essentially means that we Delhi wallas will be able to access 40 government services from 8 government departments easily from our very homes!

Previously getting work done meant waiting endlessly in queues at different government offices like while getting our marriage certificates or driving license. But now, you can say ciao ciao to all that effort! Also, this might prove to be a step against corruption as people earlier had to pay a bribe to get their work done quickly. 

All you have to do is call on a number, which will be announced soon, and fix an appointment as per the official’s convenience. The government will appoint a private agency, which will in turn hire ‘Mobile Sahyaks’ who will pick up the documents, take photo and biometric details apart from delivering certificates at our doorstep. Also, the delivery will come at a nominal charge of around Rs 50, although it hasn’t been finalised yet. 

So, you can eagerly look forward to getting all your certificates home-delivered without waiting in painfully long queues! Yayy!
