This Is A Representative Image
As the city grapples with the massive surge in COVID-19 cases and a dwindling supply of oxygen, this COVID centre becomes the first in the capital with its own oxygen plant. Read on to find out more.
A Welcome First | To overcome the shortage of oxygen, Delhi got its first COVID care centre with its own oxygen plant at the Commonwealth Games Village sports complex. The plant has a capacity to produce around 1,500 litres of oxygen, that is it can supply oxygen to 18-20 patients simultaneously. All the beds have direct connectivity with the plant, making it easier to supply oxygen to patients. Donated by the HCL Foundation, the oxygen equipment has been brought from abroad by the institution - Doctors For You.
A noble initiative, indeed.
