Delhi Gets India’s Tallest Escalator In Janakpuri West Metro Station, Beating Mumbai’s Terminal 2
Hola fellow Delhizens. We already have numerous reasons that make us a proud Delhiite, and guess what, we’ve come up with one more! Check it out!
India’s Tallest Escalator In Delhi | Get ready to beam with pride as our unbeatable city is also home to the tallest escalator in India! *Say whaa!* You heard us! And all thanks to the Delhi Metro!
The Janakpuri West interchange station on DMRC’s Magenta Line connecting Janakpuri West to Kalkaji Mandir, will soon have the country’s tallest escalator!
At a height of 15.6 metres, the escalator at this metro station will break the record of Mumbai Airport’s Terminal 2 escalator which is currently the longest, standing at a height of 11.6 metres. It always feels good to beat another city at holding a record, doesn’t it? *Insert wide grins*
The height of the newbie escalator in Janakpuri MS is equal to the height of a five-storey building, you guys! Oh. My. God! At present, the escalators at the Kashmiri Gate Metro Station are the tallest in DMRC’s record.
So Delhi dwellers, here’s another reason to love your city a little more! AND another incentive to take a ride in the much talked about Magenta Line, which may throw open remaining sections for public use from next week. Way to go DMRC!
