The temperatures in the capital have dropped to single digits, making the fog levels in the city to only get worse. Flights and trains are affected the most during this season as these modes of transportation get delayed for hours. Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) has announced a number of measures to prepare the IGI Airport for the fog season and we’ve got all the deets right here!

Making The Best Use Of Technology | According to DIAL, a 24*7 social media command centre has been created to inform the passengers about delays. MATV screens are being installed at all 3 terminals for the passengers who reach the airport to update them about the timings of the flight and how long will it take for them for the security clearances. These measures have improved the management of operations. The passengers can also reach the airport authorities through Twitter.

The ATC Tower, which opened recently, will help the controllers during the poor visibility conditions. Thermal imaging headgears have been procured for personnel working during the night. In case a flight is cancelled, the exit process has also been made easier with the help of CISF.

With the help of these high-tech measures, Delhi Airport is well equipped to ensure smoother transit and we only hope for a smoother process during this season. Happy travelling, fellas!
