Listen up Delhizens! Cool AF smart poles are replacing street lights in the New Delhi Municipal Council area and they’ll be operational in central Delhi latest by March end! Yep, moving towards a smarter and better city, NDMC will be installing 55 of these in the first phase to transform electric poles into poles with smart LEDs, communication infrastructure, WiFi technology, pollution monitors and CCTV cameras.
What’s Happening | These smart poles will be installed in Connaught Place, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Sansad Marg, Janpath, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, Barakhamba Road, Tolstoy Marg and nearby areas, and will also host microcells for telecommunication providing 2G/3G/4G services.
Another plus point is that they will also be monitoring the air quality of our pollution prone Delhi.
This is indeed an amazing initiative by the NDMC! Kudos!
