The Minimum Fare In The Delhi Metro Is Going Up To Rs 10 Starting This Wednesday

We've got some not so good news for y'all - the minimum fare of the Delhi Metro might go up to Rs 10 guys! 

A panel appointed by the urban development ministry has recommended increasing the minimum fare from Rs 8 to Rs 10 and the maximum fare from Rs 30 to Rs 50. 

Though even in November the same issue had been taken over by board, no decisions were made thus the meeting is all set to happen again and let's see what the decision is now. 

It was said that neither the Delhi government nor the Centre was in favour of any hike before the municipal polls, but now post the elections there sure is a decision that needs to be made and it shall happen soon! 

The metro fares were last revised in 2009 where the minimum went up from Rs 6 to Rs 8 and the maximum from Rs 22 to Rs 30! 

Let's sit tight and see what happens.
