Could It Be True?! Delhi Considered The Cleanest In The North According To Swachh Survey

The New Delhi Municipal Council area was declared the cleanest among all the cities in the Northern part of India! Wow now that's something! This consensus was achieved based on solid waste management, access to sanitation and other parameters of cleanliness, under the zone-wise Swachh Sarvekshan 2017.  

NDMC ranked 7th among 434 cities in the national ranking! NDMC is responsible for civic amenities in the 42.7 sq km area covering Lutyens' Delhi, besides Connaught Place and residential areas like Moti Bagh, INA Colony, Jor Bagh, Kidwai Nagar and others. 

Now the next aim is to reach the top position for which a bunch of options and remedies have already been sought out!

A door-to-door waste collection system is being launched which will cover mostly the entire section under the New Delhi Municipal Council. A couple of campaigns will also be launched to spread awareness about the same.
