Mid of 2019 will see Delhi’s first ever Haj House for all those in the capital on a Haj pilgrimage to reside in. The Delhi Government had already alloted the land in Dwarka Sector 22 a long time back, and they’ve finally started building the Haj house now.

Here’s The Full Deets | The house is said to be centrally air-conditioned with state of the art facilities including separate dormitories for men and women, VIP suites, immigration counters, prayer halls, kitchen and dining halls. The building will also have a library, which will double up as a knowledge centre and museum displaying the history of Haj Pilgrimage in India.

Unlike other states in India, Delhi doesn’t have a Haj house, because of which pilgrims along with their family members are made to stay in transit camps that are built at Ramlila Maidan and Dargah Fair Ilahi, which wasn’t too convenient.

With 15,000-20,000 pilgrims every year, Delhi is the biggest embarkation point of Haj pilgrimage in the country, and this move was much needed!
