Check Out This Campaign By WIP & Peach Promoting Menstrual Awareness & Equality & Do Your Bit!

It’s a fact when we say that women are strong and nothing can change this fact. Yet the issue related to menstrual health is still a very hushed topic in the country presently. A huge population of women in India don’t know how to deal with their monthly menstruation. So to raise awareness on this vital issue, WIP and Peach are teaming up for the ‘Do Anything Bleeding’ campaign to create menstrual awareness and equality. Here are all the deets on the campaign and how you can donate towards creating an impact and increasing social awareness on the issue! 

A Worthy Cause | According to statistics, only 36% of women in the country use sanitary pads and around 23 million girls drop out of school annually because of a lack of menstrual awareness or products, as well as viewing a perfectly normal biological process of the body as a taboo topic. This impacts their health and their chances of leading a better life with better education. 

This is why, WIP, a community-led online clothing store and Peach, an online store for sustainable, natural and chemical-free menstrual products have joined hands to start their menstrual awareness campaign called ‘Do Anything Bleeding’. They are selling a limited edition t-shirt with an important message, the proceeds of which will be used to provide access to period products for underprivileged women. Each t-shirt sold will donate 1 year’s worth of menstrual hygiene kits to 2 underprivileged women from Nelamangala Village, near Bangalore. 
These menstrual kits are built by Paint It Red, an organisation that conducts local workshops aimed to educate disadvantaged women about menstruation know-hows and how to use sanitary pads. 

Go ahead and buy these quirky souvenir t-shirts and contribute towards menstrual equality, as this campaign aims to donate a year’s worth of menstruation kits to at least 100 women through the sale of 50 limited edition t-shirts! These wearable T-shirts are made by young, local artists, in tandem with engaging UGC to make youth communities aware and willing to donate to this worthy cause.
