Chawri Bazar & Chandni Chowk Metro Stations To Get Platform Screen Doors For Safety

Our safety has been the top priority of DMRC and they’ve just proved it again! Platform screen doors were recently installed in Chawri Bazar and Chandni Chowk Metro Stations in a bid to avoid accidents and to manage the crowd during rush hours. 

Accident-Free Metro Rides | These platform screen doors are meant for better crowd management and preventing accidents like jumping or falling onto the metro tracks. Both these stations, which are on the Yellow Line, had these doors installed previously but they weren’t operational. 

The DMRC made them operational recently as both are busy stations and more prone to accidents. Now that’s some good news!

DMRC is planning to bring platform screen doors at other stations too after assessing their benefits at Chawri Bazar and Chandni Chowk stations. These doors are already in use at the Airport Line, Magenta Line and part of the Pink Line of Delhi Metro.

Hopefully this helps the DMRC manage the crazy crowds a lil better!
