There will soon be a food plaza at the Barakhamba Metro station and we can’t even explain our level of excitement!

Moving beyond the usual kiosks, Delhi Metro is planning to set up a food plaza at the busy Barakhamba Station of the Blue Line, which connects Noida and Vaishali with Dwarka. The plaza will not come up inside the metro station, but in a plot right adjacent to it.

2,400 sq. ft. of land has been set aside for this all-new food plaza! The DMRC hopes that the plaza will attract greater crowds of office-goers, as Barakhamba houses a number of corporates. Given its proximity to Connaught Place, a lot of commuters will also use it as a place to hangout as the plaza will have a proper seating area.

The structure will be built without any foundation or footing, so it can be removed easily if and when required.

We’re totally waiting for this to open soon!
