The Union Ministry has taken a massive step towards making our very own Dilwalon Ki Dilli a differently-abled-friendly city and we’re totes loving this. Here’s what’s happening!

A Differently-Abled-Friendly Delhi In 5 Yrs! | The Union Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment recently announced that all government and private offices, cinema theatres, parks, ATMs, police stations and more public spaces will soon have the proper infrastructure to support people with disabilities.

The Centre has ordered the Delhi Government to make all existing buildings and spaces differently-abled-friendly by the next five years.

The initiative has been taken under the Accessible India Campaign, wherein the idea is to build a society with equal opportunities for the growth and development of the differently-abled, and this is awesome news!

We’re really impressed by this move and are now waiting for the day when the city actually becomes disabled-friendly, as promised!
