The sudden and untimely demise of former Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley has spread a wave of sadness across the nation and people have been trying to come up with ways to pay tribute to him. In keeping with that, a century-old stadium in the city will be renamed in remembrance of the man.

What’s In A Name? | The Delhi And District Cricket Association (DDCA) has decided to rename Feroz Shah Kotla Ground after former Finance and Union Minister - Arun Jaitley, who passed away on 24th August. He served as the President of DDCA and was also the Vice-President of the BCCI. The renaming ceremony will take place on 12th September at JLN Stadium in the presence of Union Home Minister and Union Sports Minister.

However, just the stadium is getting a new moniker, the ground will still be called Feroz Shah Kotla Ground. Also, on the same day, a stand in the stadium will be named after Virat Kohli, the captain of the Indian Cricket Team.
