As you guys already know liquor shops were supposed to reopen on Monday, the 4th of May in the city. So, here’s what you need to know about this mandate.
Are Liquor Shops Now Open? | The Centre allowed the re-opening of liquor stores with some conditions in all zones with the exception of containment zones. Only standalone liquor shops with L-6 and L-8 licenses have been given permission to open, those in malls or shopping complexes haven’t been granted the permission yet. Plus, tobacco shops have also been given the go-ahead to resume operations again. However, as you may know, that the movement for non-essential purposes has been allowed only between 7 AM and 7 PM, after which you won’t be allowed to step out.
In Delhi, approx. 150 shops are expected to open and the operational timings for these have been set from 9 AM to 6:30 PM. Plus, the government has asked the shops to maintain social distancing with customers standing at a distance of at least 2 meters and the stand-alone shops in containment zones won’t be allowed to open. Moreover, only 5 people will be allowed in a shop at any time with masks being necessary.
Let’s ensure we make use of this relaxation order, responsibly!
