Hola metro commuters! We’ve already told you so much about Delhi Metro’s Pink Line, haven’t we? But did you know that Anand Vihar is all set to emerge as a major interchange hub? Nope? Then keep reading, folks!

Here’s What’s Happening | Anand Vihar Metro Station, which previously catered only to the Blue Line, is now also on the newbie Pink Line’s route. And now here’s why this metro station is of particular importance to all us commuters - it’s located near ISBT and the railway station. Also, a station of the Delhi-Meerut Regional Rapid Transit System is soon gonna pop up here as well!

There will be one integrated platform for the metro station on the Pink and Blue Lines of the Delhi Metro. The integrated platform will have four lines, two of them going towards Vaishali and Yamuna Bank on the Blue Line and two going towards Majlis Park and Trilokpuri on the Pink Line.

This metro station is gonna bring down travel time for commuters travelling from North East Delhi, from places like Gokulpuri, Jaffrabad and Maujpur, to West Delhi. This interchange station will also cut down on travel time for people commuting from East Delhi, like Indraprastha, Trilokpuri and more with the Blue Line. Awesome!

Earlier, commuters coming from ISBT had to walk quite a bit in order to reach the metro station. But now, with a new entry gate facing the bus terminal and auto rickshaw pick up points, a lot of effort will be saved. The overbridge from the Ghaziabad side will now extend all the way to the metro station as well!

Delhi Metro is all set to save us the trouble of extra walking or climbing and we’re loving them for this!
