Bookmark

Delhi has been on a strict lockdown since 20th April due to the powerful second wave, and a massive number of daily cases nationwide. The lockdown was extended for another week on Sunday, the 9th of May. Here’s all the information!

Lockdown Extended | Delhi has been battling the new wave of COVID-19 and a huge rise in the number of cases for a while now and in the same view, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal extended the order for lockdown till 17th May. Extended for another week, this time, the Delhi metro services will also remain temporarily suspended, starting Monday. The lockdown will go on till 5 AM on May 17. The positivity rate, now at 23% is still pretty high, and leniency cannot be afforded. This would be the fourth week of lockdown imposed.

Even though the positivity rate and the daily tally have seen a slight downfall, the lockdown is a reminder to not let the guard down and break the chain entirely.

We hope y’all stay safe and stay hopeful, for this too shall pass. In the meantime, don’t wait, vaccinate!
