All 21 Metro Stations On The Aqua Line (Noida-Greater Noida) Will Be Solar Powered

Hey there, Delhizens! We’re back with some interesting metro news that you’ve got to check out! Spoiler alert - looks like the metro is going eco-friendly and we’re loving it. Read ahead to find out more!

Noida Metro Goes Eco-Friendly! | In order to promote the use of natural resources for generating energy, NMRC has decided to use solar power at all the 21 metro stations on the Noida to Greater Noida Aqua Line. And we really appreciate this move! These solar panels will be installed on the roofs of these metro stations.

The solar panels will generate approximately 10 MW of energy, which will be used to run escalators, lifts, air conditioners and more inside the metro stations. The Aqua Line is all set to open by the end of this year and we can’t wait to board this newbie already!
