ALL 165 McDonald's Outlets Across North & East India Are Gonna Be Shut For 2 Weeks
Today, we come bearing some sad news. Our go-to place for satisfying burgers, McDonald's, is closing down ALL its outlets across the city!
McDonald's To Shut 165 Outlets | As a result of an out-of-court settlement between former partner Vikram Bakshi and McDonald's Corporation’s India arm, it has been announced that all the McDonald's outlets owned by Connaught Plaza Restaurants Pvt Ltd (CPRL) shall be temporarily shut down. CPRL has 165 outlets across North and East India and all of these will be closed for a short duration and will reopen within 2 weeks (thankfully!). Also, CPRL will now be wholly owned by McDonald's India Pvt Ltd (MIPL) and its affiliate McDonald's Global Markets LLC.
MIPL has decided to shut down the outlets to do a comprehensive evaluation and train the employees for enhanced customer service and satisfaction. All current employees shall remain on and steps will be taken to reopen the restaurants shortly.
We hope that McDonald's opens up soon, ‘cause we miss it already!
