The recent collapse of a portion of the iconic Connaught Place area has lead to major collateral damage - 21 rooftop restaurants have now been banned! Yes, now you can’t enjoy a rooftop meal at restaurants in the iconic CP anymore. Bummer!

Post the collapse that happened in C Block on the 2nd of February, NDMC took to checking the stability of the heritage buildings there, and came to the conclusion of banning 21 restaurants from using their rooftops! NDMC has formed a panel of experts from IIT Delhi and its own structural engineers to check for structural stability of the buildings and submit a report to the chairman within 20 days.

Directions have been given by NDMC to remove big generators and water tanks if required, for the safety of the heritage buildings!

Time To Bid Good-Bye To | Affected restaurants at the moment are Warehouse Cafe (nooo!), The Vault Cafe, My Bar HQ, Kinbuck-2, Kitchen Bar, Lord Of The Drinks, Open House Cafe, Jungle Jamboree, Boombox Cafe, Farzi Cafe, House of Commons, Hotel Palace Heights, Office Canteen Bar, Luggage Room, Cafe OMG, Unplugged Courtyard, Barbeque Nation, TC Bar & Restaurant, Teddy Boy Restaurant and Niche. All of these awesome eateries have been banned from using their rooftops! Damn this sucks!

Looks like the already-dying nightlife in Delhi is approaching its final death scene soon *sigh*!
