Although the winters this time around left us high and dry, the monsoon showers would be coming down on us like cats and dogs as predicted by India Meteorological Department.
So after two years of scanty rains, we'd be witnessing seriously heavy downpours. LS Rathore, IMD's director general, stated that this year monsoon rainfall will be 106% (woah) of the long period average which is well above the normal.
