There have been countless speculations on when the schools will open in the country so that children can go back to their education. And to put these to rest, the HRD Minister, Ramesh Nishank Pokhriyal recently made an announcement.
Schools Not Opening Anytime Soon? | The HRD Minister, in an interview, said that the schools and colleges will reopen after August. Earlier there were many speculations where it was thought the schools may open first in the Green and Orange Zones and then in other areas, depending on the situation. But this now solves all the doubts. This comes in after the COVID-19 pandemic is not making a downward trend and the situation still seems unstable.
However as mentioned earlier, exams for boards and other entrance exams will happen in the first week of July and efforts are in place to declare results by 15th of August. Did you know around 33 crore students are waiting to go back to school? Yep, and once this happens, they have to follow the guidelines set in place for the safety of students and teachers.
Let’s hope the situation gets better and things go back to normal.
