A Metro Extension From Vaishali To Mohan Nagar Is In Plans & It's Gonna Save You A Lot Of Time

Delhi Metro is a gift to us Delhiites. Since its inception in 2002, it has saved us helluva time and money over the years and it continues to make our lives convenient. The authorities keep introducing changes, modernising the stations and adding new stations/extensions so that the commuting becomes easier. This time, the Ghaziabad Development Authority has approved the proposal for a metro extension from Vaishali to Mohan Nagar, and it's going to be a boon for us travellers. Here’s everything you need to know about this news!

Life In A Metro | Almost 20 months after the submission of the proposal, the Ghaziabad Development Authority finally approved it last week. A meeting amongst the DMRC and GDA was held following this development and the final detailed report is yet to be sent to the govt. This metro link will be an extension of the Blue Line Metro and it’ll allow the commuters from Ghaziabad, direct access to Central Delhi.

Besides the connectivity being made easier, this extension will be cost-effective as well. Under this project, a proposal for an RRTS Station at Sahibabad Metro Station was also submitted. These 2 stations will be connected by a skywalk or an open bridge. The previous proposal of extending Sector 63 Electronic City to Sahibabad was already given a heads up.
