Bookmark

Are you someone who rushes to and fro from Haryana to Delhi for work or personal reasons? Do you often find yourself low on energy when travelling this far because of a long routed way and tiresome journey?  Well, if yes, then we’ve got a piece of good news for you that will make you grin ear to ear wide. Read on to know what we’re talking about!

Delhi-Rohtak @160 KM/HR | Passengers travelling from Delhi to Rohtak will soon be getting the gift of a high-speed corridor that will allow trains to commute at the speed of 160 km/hr.  This rapid rail transit system (RRTS) will begin from Sarai Kale Khan in New Delhi and will be built between Delhi and Rohtak via Bahadurgarh and Sampala benefiting lakhs of passengers who commute every day to and fro. It will also be seamlessly integrated with other modes of transport such as Delhi Metro Rail Stations, Inter-State Bus Terminals, Airports and Railway Stations. *Say What!*

Along with it, the central government has identified 8 other corridors for high-speed RRTS linking major towns in the National Capital Region (NCR) with Delhi. In the first phase of the RRTS projects, Delhi-Meerut, Delhi-Alwar and Delhi-Panipat are taken up and the 8 other RRTS corridors will be part of the Functional Plan on Transport for National Capital Region (NCR)  2032 prepared by the NCR Planning Board (NCRPB).

Folks, we’re really happy to hear about this new initiative, what about you?
