This Is A Representative Image

We just learnt about an exciting new development that may involve Delhi becoming one of the first major cities in India to have a Metro Neo corridor on the Kirti Nagar-Dwarka Corridor and we're here to share the deets!

A Cheap & Cheerful Metro | According to the buzz, Metro Neo may replace MetroLite on the 20-km long stretch between Kirti Nagar and Dwarka. The new system will have a 3-coach set made of stainless steel or aluminium featuring rubber-tyred electric coaches powered by an overhead traction system. Metro Neo will run on road portions which may either be elevated or at-grade sections. This will give it a separate lane from the traffic to ensure smooth running. Plus, it will also feature a pre-defined speed limit and an anti-collision feature for safety. However, the stations will be simple structures with no Automatic Fare Collection gates (AFC), door frame metal detectors, X-Ray or baggage screen, to name a few common features found in the DMRC network.

The purpose of the transit system will be to provide easy mobility for Dilliwallahs. What do you think about this development, let us know in the comments below!
