Hey guys! Remember we told you that buses in Delhi will soon be differently-abled friendly? Well, the good news is that even our metro feeder buses are soon gonna become differently-abled friendly as well! Read on for more deets.

Here Are All The Deets | So by 2019, Delhi Metro will add one more facility in order to make travelling seamless for us - differently-abled friendly metro feeder buses! DMRC had earlier proposed air-conditioned and electric feeder buses for last mile connectivity. But now, a new feature is set to be added to these buses - they will be low floored and differently-abled friendly.

So 905 feeder buses are going to be inducted by next year on 53 routes. These buses will run on electricity or CNG and will be 16 to 22 seaters. 427 buses will be inducted in the first phase, by the end of 2018, and 250 more will be launched by mid-2019.

These feeder buses will be equipped with GPS and CCTV cameras and you can only use your smart cards for travel in them. At present, there are 269 feeder buses being operated which are far from sufficient to cater to the needs of 2 lakh people who use metro feeder buses daily.

Well, we can’t thank the DMRC enough for these awesome feeder buses that will soon hit the city! Kudos, Delhi Metro!
