9 Thoughts Every Introvert Had When They Heard That Nightclubs Have Shut Down
Hello, folks! We all heard that recently it was directed to shut down nightclubs and restaurants in Delhi and other parts of the country and there were several thoughts that passed through the minds of people. With a lot of memes surfacing on the net about the closure, we have come up with a list of few thoughts that might have crossed an introverts mind!
1. “Thank God I Can Now Cancel That Party I’d Been Dreading”
If you’re an introvert then chances are that you end up dreading about the upcoming plans to hang out with your squad at the hottest nightclub in town which you’d begrudgingly agreed to join. But with the news of nightclubs and restaurants closing, you won’t have to make an excuse anymore. Guess, that get-together at Ophelia can wait for a few days!
2. “Now I Can Binge-Watch My Show Throughout The Night”
This one is for all us who end up giving in to our extrovert mate’s demand and land up at a party. But when we define our ideal Saturday night, it is with a bowl of buttered-popcorn and our fave Netflix series. Since you won’t have to worry about going out, for the time being, you can now watch your fave Delhi-based shows like ‘Made In Heaven’ and more through the night!
3. “Why Is Everyone Cribbing About it?”
If there’s one thing that an introvert must have wondered, it’s probably the fact that why is everyone cribbing about having to stay home for the weekend. Social distancing is the need of the hour and you’re doing it for the society, right? Staying home for some days is really not a bad thing, you can use it to learn a new skill, read new books and lots of more things!
4. “All The More Time To Sleep!”
This is probably something that a sleepy introvert must have thought! Well, these folks absolutely love to sleep. And if there is something that they would totally appreciate it’s definitely the longer hours to sleep and not having to attend the parties at hotspots in the city like Molecule and more under a social obligation towards your work colleagues!
5. “It’s Not Like Something Out Of The Ordinary Is Happening To My Night Schedule.”
This is something that most of us introverts could relate to! Our Saturday nights are spent either reading a new book or binge-watching the 7th season of the all-time fave show. Yep, we generally stay at home and so, the shutting down of restaurants like Flying Saucer and other popular places, changed nothing in our schedule!
6. “What’s The Fuss? A Little Distancing Will Go A Really Long Way!”
This is something all of us have been asking collectively! Adopting social distancing is pretty much the need of the hour and it’s for the greater good of humanity at this point of time. Think about it? You stay put for 2-3 weeks and your staying home saves millions of lives! Isn’t that a motivation enough?!
7. “No More Dealing With The Thought #FOMO!”
This is something that every introvert has probably felt at one point or the other. Did you hear about the RAD opening of Diablo? But skipped it ‘cause you just didn’t wanna? Well, after the multiple stories, the feeling of #FOMO does settle it. But now you don’t have to worry about it for a while.
8. “Couldn't Care Less About The Shut Down As My Social Charts Are Non-Existent”
This is definitely something that a lot of us folks must have thought and countless memes actually show that there are many of us out there who think alike! Well, the closing of nightclubs and restaurants didn’t bother us much because of the fact that our social calendars are practically empty. What concerned us was the reason, which is actually worrisome but apart from that, it wasn’t a major change in our night schedule.
9. “Guess I Will Now Have To Motivate My Extrovert Bestie To Adopt Social Distancing.”
Every introvert probably has that totally extrovert friend that doesn’t like to sit at home and most of the time end up dragging us along for a night out. But now it’s time for them to do their bit for the society by staying home and it’s proving to be a difficult task. So, now it’s up to us to motivate them to stay put and not venture out of the house until it’s an absolute necessity. At least for the time being.
All these thoughts aside, we introverts totally own our nature and we know we’re cool the way we are, so just take some time and adopt this distancing and chill!
