For once and all, let’s agree to the fact that the only reason we love winters in Delhi so much is because of all the yummy, hot, desi, sugary goodies we get to gobble up in this season. We mean, the garam garam gulab jamuns and jalebis, the soft and juicy rasmalai and the mouth-watering moong dal halwa are all we dream of devouring while being cosily cocooned in our quilts. But the one dessert that’s almost synonymous with Dilli ki Sardi is the glorious gajar ka halwa!

Located right in the heart of Old Delhi, this age-old Sindhi sweet house is a halwa paradise, Famous for their Karachi Halwa, these guys are so much more than that. The shop is laden with everything from Pista Barfi to Milk Cake to Kaju Loj but you HAVE to sample their Gajar Ka Halwa - it comes studded with dry-fruits and khoya (heart eyes) and is just simply yum!
