Season 2 of The Family Man was out last week and it has created a huge bang all over the internet and has received a lot of acclaim & praise from critics as well. Fans feel that it broke the curse of sequels and we couldn’t agree more. We loved each moment from the show as it left us cackling and yet on our toes. Here’s a list of all the characters on The Family Man that left us awestruck and add a jolly cherry on top of the already amazing cast and characters. P.S. Major spoilers ahead, scroll only if you’ve finished watching the latest season.

1. Chellam Sir

Fans know that Chellam Sir is the real hero of the show. Twitterati has been going on and on about how “Google asks Chellam Sir questions”, and we can’t help ROFLing. Well, this character was not even on for a total of 15 mins on the show, yet, the story could not have gone on without him. He knew it all and was the reason, why we got the satisfying ending we deserved.

2. Raji

A great villain makes the show. That’s exactly what the formidable Raji did. Samantha Akkineni killed it (and killed a lot) as Raji. Her performance was astonishing and convincing, and we loved having her on the show. Each Raji moment, we held our breath and even the most talented of TASC officers were having a hard time catching her, not to mention her insane battle skills! You would sympathize with her and hate her guts.

3. Mutthu Pandian

Raise your hand if you too, like us, became a fan of the JK-Muthu chemistry. Muthu, a dedicated TASC Chennai officer, added a lot of comical moments to the show. JK and Muthu had a love-hate relationship, which we loved. He played a very essential part in the show and enabled Srikant to close the case.

4. Prime Minister Basu

Prime Minister Basu was shown as a stubborn and determined lady willing to risk her life to keep India’s interests in view. Comparing herself to a lioness and a mother, she very well knew the risk in her keeping the meet in Chennai, but that did not scare or deter her. We love a strong female character and she was it!

5. Umayal

JK was not the only one crushing on Chennai police’s Umayal, even though she damaged his phone! She did offer the famous rice cure, though. She was tough and fearless and joined the squad to apprehend Raji, but in the police station, she was seriously hurt. Nevertheless, we adored her and her unapologetic character was welcoming!

6. Tanmay Ghosh

Okay, we might not have liked him that much… but the scenes with him were funny. Struggling to make Srikant adjust in his corporate life, this young CEO pushed Srikant to not be a “minimum guy”! If only he knew! We did get the most satisfying scene when Srikant finally left this job he hated… and how. IYKYK.

7. Milind

After binge-watching TVF’s Aspirants, we realised that Sandeep Bhaiya played Milind on The Family Man, a brave and young TASC officer, going through PTSD. His devotion towards the country made him join the force again and we could see his sheer determination towards his team and how he had their backs till the end.

8. Dhriti

Dhriti was the surprise package of the show. A dynamite and sharp-tongued feminazi, she fell in the wrong company, and, well, you know the rest. Her teenage rebellion and the eventual realisation became a major character arc and we couldn’t be prouder of how she handled the situation in the finale episode. After all, Srikant’s genes did the wonder!

Of course, Srikant was still as savage and witty as ever, Atharv was a sweetheart, and JK was… JK. We loved seeing all characters again and Shuchi left us on a mini cliffhanger. Believe it or not, we are ALREADY waiting for season 3, and it may be a long way ahead!
