While Leila failed to garner popularity and IMDb scores, Hindustan Times called it Netflix India’s most courageous show yet and awarded it a score of 4 out of 5 stars. The show also fared well with other critics and on Rotten Tomatoes. Starring Huma Quereshi, the unique show is set in a near-future and dark, dystopian world, where an oppressive regime segregates society, and a woman challenges the system as she searches for the daughter that she lost upon her arrest years ago. ‘Wow,’ is the only word we can think of with that storyline. Does it catch your attention?

Typewriter is a great watch for all those of you who love a little bit of horror. Created by Sujoy Ghosh who is known to be the co-writer & director of the hit film Kahaani, this 5-part series tells us the story of three young friends and wannabe ghost hunters whose imaginations are stirred by a haunted house and an old book. But when a new family moves in, the home's buried past resurfaces in chilling ways. The show does have a couple of jump scares, is brilliantly shot, and is not one of those cringey horror flicks with bad graphics. All in all, it’s worth watching, so there’s your next midnight watch!

Abhay Deol fanclub, WYA? The reason JL50 deserves attention is not just because of its stellar cast that includes Abhay Deol, Piyush Mishra, Ritika Anand and Pankaj Kapur in lead roles, but also, it is an Indian take on time travel. While there’s a serious dearth of home-bred Sci-Fi shows in India, JL50 explores time travel via Indian mythology, hence making it a must-watch. The plot goes something like this; A passenger plane AO 26 is hijacked, and in a remote hamlet near Bagdogra another plane JL 50’s just crashed. Now, here’s the twist, JL 50 had originally gone missing 35 years ago. Do we need to say any more?

The list remains incomplete without a short, sweet, and simple romance story, doesn’t it? Please Find Attached is just a mini-series, with only 3 short episodes of around 19 minutes. Luckily for us, it has a season 2 also! The plot follows 2 office colleagues who decide to become flatmates, and eventually fall in love. The series is all mushy and sweet, just the way we like it and yet, keeps it real. So go ahead and stream now!
