Delhi8 Imperfectly Perfect Characters From International Shows Who Are ABSOLUTE GOALS!
Shows are often found setting the bar for the perfect partner pretty high. These characters are an ideal match in all sense, in fact, they’re so perfect that they often seem rather unreal. But sometimes, we come across characters so real that we try to look for them in our lives. What makes them perfect is the fact they’re equally flawed, which gives them a human touch. So, today we’re here with a list of 8 such imperfectly perfect characters from international shows who have their share of flaws but have stolen our hearts away. Let’s dive in, shall we?
1. Rafael Solano From Jane The Virgin

Okay, there’s a reason why he’s here, and all you folks who’ve seen this show will know it too well. There aren’t enough good adjectives in the dictionary that we can use to define this man. Over the course of several seasons, his character has grown from someone desperate for a child to a selfless person who knows how to stand his ground and protect his people, but knows when to take a step back as well. Rafael Solano is pure goals and there’s no one better than Justin Baldoni who could bring him to life!

2. Duke Of Hastings From Bridgerton

Duke Of Hastings played by Regé-Jean Page will often remind you of Mr. Darcy. Maybe because he is also tall, dark, prideful, chivalrous (most of the time) and, well, handsome. But the reason why he’s got our hearts racing is the fact he is not just all about looks. This character is flawed by the demons of his past that continue to plague his present. But despite all odds, towards the end of the first season, we find him putting up a bold front and finally moving and transforming into this true gentleman someone who takes responsibility for his actions, chiselled by the challenges thrown his way.

3. Jack Pearson From This Is Us

Jack Pearson portrayed by Milo Ventimiglia is possibly one of the most perfect characters ever. But what makes him this ideal persona is not because he is without flaws but because you see him through the eyes of his family, for whom he is a hero. A devoted family man who loves his girl dearly has had us going aww and crying buckets full of tears in all the emotional scenes. He does have flaws, we all do, but those don’t define who he is and definitely doesn’t make him someone unlikable, just more human.

4. Phil Dunphy From The Modern Family

Phil Dunphy brought to life by Ty Burrell is a lovable character, and you can call him a devoted family man. He is awkward, funny and loves his family to the moon and back and again! But there is one major flaw in him, he tries too hard. Often seen as a people pleaser, you will see him trying to impress others. But honestly, this just makes him a little more real in our eyes. He is a human at the end of the day, he has his flaws but they don’t overrule all the good characteristics he has to offer!

5. Damon Salvatore From The Vampire Diaries

Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries comes across as a typical bad boy, one who’s selfish and seems like someone who’d have no redeeming qualities. But as the seasons’ progress, you get to see a side of him that will call to your heart. His character arch is one of the most satisfying ones and even though he comes across as an arrogant man, in the beginning, the glimpse of a little broken boy afraid to trust is enough to make you weak in the knees.

6. Jake Peralta From Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Brooklyn Nine-Nine is without any doubt one of the greatest comedy shows in recent years, and it’s the kind of show one would revisit just because they’re having a bad day. Our hero, Jake Peralta, played by Andy Samberg is a brilliant detective however, there’s one major drawback in him. You can rarely find him serious, and this makes him immature. But there’s no doubt that his character has seen a development from the first season onwards, where he transforms into this great responsible adult and of course, the witty sense of humour & fun-loving energy remains!

7. The Professor From Money Heist

Let’s admit it, for all those of us who’ve seen this popular show have been swooning over The Professor played by Álvaro Morte. His intelligence is enough to make anyone fall head over heels for him. But one thing that’s pretty hard to miss amongst other positive characteristics is the fact he is a slave to habit. His actions even in daily life have been meticulously planned to detail, almost like it’s a compulsion. This makes a major dent in his otherwise seemingly ideal character, but hey, is anyone ever perfect? And we probably love him for his unwavering attention to detail!

8. Geralt Of Rivia From The Witcher

Geralt of Rivia played by our bae Henry Cavill is going to steal your hearts with his dashing looks. But we’re practically in love with him because of the kind of character he plays in this fantasy show. He is complex and has several layers to his outwardly cynical self. On the first look, he is rude and maybe even pragmatic, but you need to realise that life hasn’t been kind to him. And so it’s almost a defence mechanism, but it’s an undeniable fact that despite his belief, he is always there to help and save people, even if they’re disrespectful to him. This makes him an imperfectly perfect hero in our eyes, to say the least!

These were just a few imperfect characters who have stolen our hearts. Yes, they may even belong to a fantasy series, but what they all have in common is the fact that their good qualities overrule the bad ones any day. So who have you been low-key crushing on?!
